I am writing to you to let you know that I have been studying how Jersey Steamer Cleaning Services can help with the Coronavirus.
I know that there is a lot of misinformation out there and my object is to disseminate it for you from the Jersey Steamer experience and knowledge.
The number one most important thing you can do is to clean. Using a surfactant (soap) to clean is better. Just like they say the best thing you can do is to wash your hands with soap. You can see here how soap dismantles the virus.
Then, the next best thing is applying disinfectants that are on the EPA’s list for use against SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes the disease COVID-19. My company is strictly using products from this list to sanitize your hard surfaces. You can see it here.
I would also like to address a rumour and misinformation that is circulating from other cleaners claiming that fogging can be done to sanitize. This is not true. Fogging is for the air. It is not for sanitizing surfaces. Although things are fluid, this virus is so far known to live on surfaces longer than in the air. The virus lives up to 3 hours in the air and days on surfaces. Fogging is fine when done after overall cleaning and sanitizing.
There have been many customers of mine who are sensitive to chemicals. I have made the commitment to provide those customers with a 100% natural product that is made of the plant Thyme. Yes, like the spice we use for cooking. Thyme has many benefits and is known to be a natural antimicrobial.
Lastly, I would like you to know that there is no such thing as an EPA approved product for soft surfaces like carpet and furniture (mainly because it is hard to test these on soft surfaces). What is recommended is a thorough cleaning of the soft surfaces. Which is what I can provide for you. As an added precaution, I can apply Thymol to your soft coverings.
