When I was growing up (a long, long time ago), I loved watching the “Gunsmoke” television series. Boy, was it exciting. Every week I’d tune in to watch the folk in Dodge City handle new problems related to frontier life. “Doc” was Dodge City’s Doctor, and he took care of all the townspeople’s health issues. Whether it was an illness, injury, accident, childbirth or surgery, “Doc” could always be counted on. Why he even made house calls! He was THE Doctor the townspeople knew and trusted, and who would be there for them regardless of the medical need.

These days we go to “Specialists” who specialize in fields ranging from Pediatrics to Podiatry, from Obstetrics to Orthopedics, from Geriatrics to… well, you get the idea. If you have more than one medical condition, you will most likely have more than one Doctor. If your family has a lot of medical conditions, you will have lots of Doctors. Since it’s unlikely any of these Doctors will make house calls, you’ll find yourself sitting in lots of waiting rooms. You will also be bombarded by lots of bills coming in from lots of different billing departments. Wouldn’t it be nice to have one place to go for all (or most) your family’s health needs? One Doctor who you know, trust and are comfortable with?

Let’s switch gears now, and compare Gunsmoke’s “Doc” to your Professional Cleaner (I realize that may be a stretch, but please bear with me for a minute). Today’s homes generally have many different types of surfaces that need periodic professional cleaning. These surfaces can include Carpet, Upholstery, Stonework, Wood Floors, Air Ducts, etc. While you can call in a different specialized cleaning company to handle each of these various home surfaces, this will entail a separate service call from each company. Each company will arrive with a different group of cleaning personnel, send separate invoices etc. Wouldn’t it be nice to have one single Professional Cleaner who had the training, equipment and expertise to handle most of your home’s surfaces? Someone you know, trust, and are comfortable with? This concept is not a fantasy – it’s possible right now!

Most of today’s “Carpet Cleaners” don’t just do carpet. They have the training, equipment and experience to handle a number of different types of home surfaces. Whether it’s leather, air ducts, wood floors, tile & grout or any of several other surface types, there’s an excellent chance that your Professional Cleaner can help you with it. Next time you schedule carpet or upholstery cleaning, consider the other surfaces in your home that could use professional attention. Ask your professional if he is trained and able to attend to each of these other surfaces during the same scheduled appointment. If he can, you will not only be dealing with just one professional, you’ll be saving time and frustration over having to schedule several appointments. You also will likely save money by “bundling” several services into one cleaning session. With today’s time constraints, and in our current economy, saving time, money and frustration really is the smart way to go.

PS: Oh, and by the way, just like “Doc” in the old Gunsmoke television series, your Professional Cleaner does make house calls!
